Welcome to the vibrant West of Ireland! When you arrive at Shannon airport you will be met by your private driver/guide who will take you in your luxury 6 seater MPV to the wonderful 5 star Dromoland Castle. Incredible history surrounds Dromoland Castle which dates back to the mid-16th Century. The present structure was completed in 1835 and little has changed since then. With wonderful views and expansive countryside it was historically described as one of the most desirable residences in Ireland.
Departing Dromoland, you will travel south to the Kingdom of Kerry and the vibrant town of Killarney where you will stay for 3 nights at the centrally located and luxurious Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa. There is so much to do and see in Kerry but you can be sure that your driver/guide will fill you in on the history and folklore en route.
From your base in Killarney, you are perfectly located to explore the famous Ring of Kerry route and experience some of the most scenic coast line that Ireland has to offer. Your MPV will stop at many beautiful seaside locations; the Island of Valentia, the beaches of Derrynane, the village of Waterville where you will find a statue of Charlie Chaplin who spent many happy holidays there with his family and the vibrant town of Kenmare.
Experience some more of Kerry’s famous coastline with a trip around the Dingle Peninsula. You will pass through the villages of Camp, Castlegregory and the stunning Conor pass and Slea Head. You can stop at Dunquinn which has a pretty harbour and scenery that may seem familiar as the film Ryan’s Daughter was shot here. You can have a walk on Coumeenole beach and take in the views of the Blasket Islands. From here you travel to Dingle town where you can enjoy a wander around and sample some wonderful seafood.
Heading north along the Wild Atlantic Way will bring you in the direction of Galway. On the way you can enjoy a 20 minute journey by car ferry across the beautiful Shannon Estuary and see the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs rise 390 ft. above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag’s Head, and reach their maximum height of 702 ft. just north of O’Brien’s Tower. You will overnight at the lovely Park House Hotel, in the heart of Galway city.
